What Is the DELF A2?
The DELF A2 is the second level of the DELF diploma series, corresponding to the CEFR A2 level – the elementary tier. Holders can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (personal information, shopping, local geography, employment).

- Ideal for: learners who completed A1 or have basic French knowledge

- Validity: for life – never expires

At A2 level, learners consolidate the basics and begin expressing themselves more independently. Our programme builds on A1 foundations:
- Expanding vocabulary: shopping, transport, health, leisure, work, and travel
- Grammar: past tenses (passé composé, introduction to imparfait), negation, question formation
- Listening: longer dialogues, public announcements, news snippets
- Speaking: describing past events, expressing preferences, giving opinions
- Writing: personal letters, short descriptions, formatted documents
- Regular timed practice tests under exam conditions
